Where we work

Furnace sales and operations systems, coast to coast to coast

We work with furnace and heating companies in every province and territory. The sales process and dispatch routine stay the same at their core, but the option sheet, the membership calendar and the peak-week plan change with the region.

FurnaceBusiness.ca helps furnace and heating companies in all ten provinces and three territories build the systems that turn calls into sold, scheduled and kept work: the in-home comfort-advisor visit, a good/better/best option sheet, a membership plan, a dispatch routine for the first cold week, quote follow-up and a weekly owner scoreboard. The method travels well. The details do not, so each region below gets its own notes.

We are a marketing and business consulting service, not a contractor. We do not install, repair or service furnaces, and we make no financing or lending promises. Your licensed technicians do the work; we help you sell it, schedule it and measure it.

How the region changes the system

The region decides three things: what goes on the top tier of your option sheet, when your membership tune-ups have to be finished, and how hard your phones get hit when the temperature drops. A company in a gas-heated prairie city plans differently from one in an electrically heated Atlantic town where heat pumps already carry much of the load.

Before we touch a script or a scoreboard, we look at:

  • Fuel mix. Statistics Canada's 2023 household data shows natural gas dominating Alberta and Saskatchewan, electricity dominating Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador, and heat pumps already common in the Maritimes (Table 38-10-0286-01).
  • Season length. A long heating season means more no-heat calls and a tighter window for fall maintenance.
  • Programs. Rebates and utility programs change which option homeowners pick. As of October 2026, several are open, several have closed, and a federal heat pump rebate has been announced for 2027.
  • Regulators. The installing contractor holds the licences. We link the regulator so you know who sets the rules, and we never give compliance advice.

Choosing which region page to read

Read the page for the province where most of your installs happen, not where your office sits. A company based in Ottawa that sells heavily in Gatineau needs both the Ontario and Quebec notes, and a Lloydminster company straddles Alberta and Saskatchewan. If your trucks cross a border, your option sheet, follow-up texts and tax lines will probably need two versions, and your scoreboard should report each side separately so one province's close rate does not hide the other's.

West Coast

British Columbia is really two heating markets: the mild, wet southwest coast and the colder Interior and North. Natural gas and electricity split most homes, so the option sheet often sets a high-efficiency gas furnace beside a heat pump or dual-fuel system. Read the British Columbia page for how that changes the in-home conversation and the membership calendar.

Prairies

Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba have long, hard winters and a heavy reliance on natural gas, which makes furnace replacement and no-heat service the core of the trade. Dispatch discipline matters more here than almost anywhere. See Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba for the season, the utility programs and how we would set up the peak-week plan.

Central Canada

Ontario and Quebec hold most of the country's homes, but they heat them very differently. Ontario leans on natural gas with a sizeable electric share; Quebec heats mostly with electricity and asks for French in advertising and on websites. The Ontario page and Quebec page cover the options, programs and follow-up habits that fit each.

Atlantic Canada

New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador are a mix of oil, electricity, wood and a fast-growing heat pump base. Furnace companies here often sell a conversion as much as a replacement, so the good/better/best sheet has to compare fuels honestly. Start with New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland and Labrador.

The North

Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut have the longest heating seasons in the country, small populations and supply chains that make every truck roll expensive. Scheduling, parts planning and membership visits have to be planned months ahead. The territories page covers all three.

What stays the same everywhere

Wherever you operate, the same six systems carry the load. The comfort-advisor sales process makes every visit repeatable. Good/better/best options give homeowners a fair choice. Membership plans fill the shoulder seasons. Dispatch and capacity planning protects the cold weeks. Quote follow-up closes the decisions that stall, and owner reporting shows where the leaks are.

Our proof comes from our HVAC work, set out on the results page. Plans and fees are on the pricing page, and the guides go deeper on each system. When you are ready, call or text (604) 632-4959, or email Ali@Sedighi.ca. A short text is a good way to start, and we can meet by video call or in person.

Frequently asked questions

Do you only work with furnace companies near Vancouver?

No. We are headquartered in Vancouver, but we work with heating companies across Canada. Most of the work happens by video call, phone, text and email, and we also meet owners in person.

Does the sales process really change from province to province?

The bones do not change: a booked visit, a measured home, three written options and a follow-up cadence. What changes is the content of the options, the timing of membership tune-ups and how much winter surge your dispatch board has to absorb.

Do you install or service furnaces in any of these regions?

No. We are a marketing and business consulting service. We design and coach the sales and operations systems; your licensed team does every install, repair and service call.

How is sales tax handled on your fees?

Our prices are in Canadian dollars, plus GST/HST based on your province (GST and QST in Quebec). Each region page lists the rate for that province or territory.
