Results from our HVAC work, and what they mean for your systems

These are real marketing results from HVAC and heating companies we have worked with. They show what happens to lead flow, and why the sales and dispatch systems behind it decide how much becomes revenue.

Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

The case studies below are real results from our HVAC marketing work for heating companies in Canada. They are not results from sales or dispatch projects, and we will not dress them up as such. What they do show is how fast lead flow can change, and that is exactly when a furnace company's booking line, advisors and follow-up routine are tested.

All case studies on HVAC.Agency

HVACDeal.ca: 500+ leads at 12:1 ROI

For HVACDeal.ca, the work brought in 500+ leads and returned twelve dollars for every dollar spent (12:1 ROI).

What transfers: at that kind of volume, the cost of each unanswered call or forgotten quote becomes obvious. A 12:1 return depends on leads being booked and followed up; without a quote follow-up system, a share of those leads would have ended as unsigned estimates.

CanroHeat.ca: 250% lead growth

CanroHeat.ca saw 250% growth in leads.

What transfers: lead growth of that size changes the dispatch problem. A board built for last year's volume will not hold this year's. This is why we plan dispatch and capacity before a marketing push, not after the phones are already overloaded.

BCWide.ca: 3× leads in 90 days

BCWide.ca tripled its leads within 90 days.

What transfers: ninety days is shorter than most hiring cycles. When leads rise that quickly, the company has to convert them with the people it already has, which puts the weight on a repeatable comfort-advisor process and clear option sheets rather than on new hires.

GasBoilers.ca: a new division with a strong review base

GasBoilers.ca is a gas-boiler division built for CANRO Heat. It serves 26+ BC communities and has a 5.0★ rating from 76+ Google reviews.

What transfers: launching a division is a systems exercise: a new service line needs its own booking rules, its own options and its own follow-up. Reviews also come from operations, not just marketing; they follow from on-time arrivals and visits that are well explained.

Roma Heating & Cooling: 400% organic traffic growth in 12 months

Roma Heating & Cooling grew organic traffic by 400% in 12 months.

What transfers: search traffic tends to arrive steadily rather than in spikes, which makes it a good base for planning. Steady inbound demand is easier to schedule, easier to staff, and easier to feed into a membership plan.

What these results do not show

It is worth being plain about the limits of any case study. These numbers describe lead growth, traffic growth, review counts and return on marketing spend for specific HVAC companies, at specific times, in specific markets. They do not tell you what your close rate, average ticket or membership base will become, and we do not claim they do.

What they do show is the pressure that marketing success puts on a furnace company. Every one of these companies had to answer more calls, run more visits and follow up more quotes than before. The ones that grow cleanly are the ones whose systems were ready.

That is why our first question to a new client is rarely about ads. It is usually: what happened to the last 20 people who called you? The answer tells us whether more leads would help, or whether the money would be better spent on dispatch, the home visit or follow-up first.

How to read these results for your own company

Marketing results like these measure the top of the funnel. Your revenue depends on the rest of it. A quick way to apply this to your shop:

  1. Take your current monthly lead count and multiply by 1.5 or 2.
  2. Ask whether your phones, dispatcher, advisors and follow-up routine could handle that volume next month.
  3. Wherever the answer is no, that is the system to fix before spending more on leads.

We track that chain on the owner's scoreboard; see owner reporting and the weekly scoreboard guide. The full case-study list is on HVAC.Agency's case studies page.

Frequently asked questions

Are these results from sales-system projects?

No. They are results from our HVAC marketing work, and we present them that way. We include them because more leads put more weight on booking, home visits, follow-up and memberships, which is what this site helps with.

Can you promise similar results for us?

No. Every market, company and season is different, and we do not promise leads, rankings or close rates. We can show you the method and measure the change in your own numbers.

Where can I see more case studies?
